The fun part is going down their and smelling all the pies! Plus it's a nice neighborhood to walk in
Delicious pies with an at home environment. The pecan is a favorite as well as the meat hand pie. Coffee is also a winner. Be sure to try the seasonal pumpkin latte, they use real pumpkin purée.
Try the lemon meringue cake and the lemonade. They're absolutely fabulous! The cafe has a relaxing vibe even though it can get quite busy. You can also buy whole pies to take with you.
Don't go here. Sure they have amazing pies 🤩 but you wouldn't like them. Good. Now there's more for me, happy to help.
I buy their fruit hand pies here at least twice a week. They are the best! Not too sweet and SO fresh with organic ingredients. I only put 4 stars because I noticed I had occasionally bought ones that are quite a bit smaller than usual.
Because of covid, I prepaid for takeout slice of pie. Girl went to back and brought out packaged pie, the pie tip was missing, when questioned about it she told me that's where the center heart was... it honestly looked like someone took a bite out of it, but she never offered to give me new complete piece. $11 rip off when 20% of the slice was missing
The pies are good but many times the place is not clean, the chairs are very uncomfortable and the service is not gentle nor friendly.
Bought their lemon cream pie for my daughters birthday. She loved it. Soup and bread also delish.
Spinach and feta pie was potato, pea and a little spinach. Not sure if there was feta. The tea (which is always a pot of water and a bag) took so long we'd finished our food and had to go chase. There were three tables taken inside and no queue.Slow. Slow. Slow.
Delicious pie EXCEPT for using a microwave for heating up. Why don't they have an oven or toaster oven for this? Microwaves make the pastry soggy. It's a shame considering the price/organic ingredients
Delicious pie! We had the Strawberry Rhubard and Pumpkin, both excellent, the pumpkin in particular was some of the best I’ve had. The staff was also very accommodating, I called ahead and asked them to set aside a single slice and they were more than happy to do so. I also liked that the pie was locally sourced and organic. Will definitely come back for a whole pie next time!
Best pies in town, and so many Gluten free amd Vegan options!
Our latte contained mostly foam and barely any liquid and when we asked if we could have it fixed, the staff member added who knows what and the latte was room temperature and the chai flavouring stung my mouth. A new kind of latte experience! Staff didnt seem too concerned, professional or inviting. The mushroom quiche however, was on point!
Really enjoyed the baking, worth a trip.
Gluten free chocolate pecan pie. With coconut whip cream and cinnamon hearts. It's beautiful to look at and heaven to eat. Plus they have all different kinds of delicious pies, soups, sandwiches, hot beverages and so much more. And it's ALL organic! PS. their Cherry balsamic vinaigrette is to DIE FOR and fabulous on everything.
Got two slices of pie- cost about $18 with taxes. Very pricy but I suppose it should be expected given everything is organic. The blueberry pie was a little disappointing. It was more sour than it should be and the crust was soggy. Lacking in flavour for a $8 slice. The other one was a chocolate raspberry cream pie. The crust and the flavours on this one were much better.
Both times ive been here the atmosphere kinda sucked. Don’t know why a regular latte and slice of pie costs 15.25 either.
Fantastic pies - especially my younger child's Banana Vanilla Bean Pie. My Pecan chocolate was okay. My elder child had the savoury spinach and cheese pie and that was tasty. Price is on the average $10 per slice - organic pricing. Overall - it cost $63 for five of us including a couple of coffees and one latte as much as our next sushi meal in the Kits area.
Nice place, good pie, very expensive.
Home made pies my grandmothers would have approved of . Quality ingredients made with care
I found it to be a little overpriced but I visited on the recommendation of a bougie friend. I ordered slices of quiche for my bf and I as well as two hot drinks and the bill came to just over $30 (!). Flavour wise, it was okay...but not overwhelming. Service could use a bit of work--though I'm sure the staff are nice (two young women in what seem to be their early 20s), both seemed rather curt when I was asking about whether the slices could be heated up or not, as well as general inquiries about the ingredients.
Pricy but the pies are good. Love the milled ginger and rosehip tea too!
I love love love their cream pies and milk! Banana cream pie and the raspberry chocolate cream pie are the best. The pastry is so flaky too! Friendly servers at the counter as well.
Bland as hell. I had 3 pies (Apple, Strawberry Rhubarb, Pumpkin). Crust tasted like chalk for all of them. All pies needed to be sweeter. For some reason, Aphroditie's believes that organic/health=flavorless. Shared these pies with my friends and we all agreed the taste disappeared within the first second of being in your mouth. Aphrodite was the goddess of love not pies, don't let her cook.
This Chocolate Banana Cream Pie is the best I've ever tasted in my life!!
Love this place. The pies are awesome especially the apple. Fresh blueberry juice is a hit also. Lots of selection of sweet and savoury pies along with coffees.
This place has the best GF V chocolate pecan pie ever! It's a cute little spot with with a lot of warmth and personality, and the customer service is always excellent. I love coming here with a book and enjoying a slice of pie with their mulled ginger rosehip tea. When I get together with family, this is always our top pick for dessert. Well definitely be coming back here again and again.
Ordered on doordash and definitely did not like the quality of what I received.
An old favourite Vancouver cafe. We have always loved Aphrodite's. Fancy a Chai and a slice of decadent pie? This is the go to spot :) mmm Pecan Pie! ;p
None of the staffs wore face shields or mask nor did they enforce their 2 customer per store rule (I counted 8 customers inside). Tons of large flies roaming around the store. The cashiers look half awake and unenthusiastic (maybe it's all the gluten and carbs from the pies). We got two small pies (each were the size of a CD) and both were average at best... The neighbourhood has great character but the pies here left a bitter taste.
We had the GT/Vegan pie and day old muffin. The muffin was crumbly but moist. There was a large piece or two of fruit on top. It was the size of a large man's fist for $2.75. The pie was $9.50 and of standard size. They both tasted homemade but without the flavour you'd expect of a retail purchase. The flavour + size to dollar was disappointing. I was expecting a higher quality product based on the reviews I read and the price I paid. Atmosphere was standard for the area. They were very polite. They let me use the washroom before buying something.
very yummy, natural-tasting pie!
Love the artistic vibe. I had two pies, both were perfect
I’ve been dreaming of good pumpkin pie since the leaves turned orange, and by god was I impressed by the pie I ate at Aphrodites. I haven’t ever had pumpkin pie as good as I did here. I wish it wasn’t so damn expensive, considering Costco sells a whole pumpkin pie for $5.99, but the quality ingredients here helped justify the $8 slice.
Terrible pie! The apple pie had nothing in the filling except very undercooked apples. They were still crunchy. It tasted plain and boring. Awful.
A bit snooty? A little bit of a peculiar person taking orders to say the least..made it very unnecessarily complicated to simply order a slice of pie lol
Ordered from DoorDash. The pies had potential. Unfortunately tasted old, please serve fresh pies daily. And the apple pie apples were completely raw.
Absolutely crazy good pie!
Delicious and more nutritious "cheat food" treats.
Stopping in for a pie is a treat, some of them are simply amazing and definitely hit the spot. The special drinks are great as well. Went to the coffee/shop bakery and was pretty disappointing in the bake good I got. Way too much dry pie crust taste compared to the savory filling. Might have to give the cafe another chance soon.
Cozy little place with friendly staff and over priced pies. Because the pie was organic, gluten free and vegan I decided I would pay $10 for a slice, upon receiving my slice of pie I found it to be on the smaller side and lacking taste for the price. I was disappointed overall.
Vegan and gf options, pretty good pie, cozy on a rainy day.
Very nice food. Wait for the food was a bit too long though.
Loved the ham and cheese quiche. Mushroom one and feta and spinach ones were also good but not as good as ham and cheese one for me.
Good pies, but they can use a clean up, had a conversation with a mouse in the kitchen...Bathroom is dirty and open to the area where they have food nearby
The Vegan Blueberry Pie and the Apple/Blackberry Pie lacked flavor both in the filling and the crust. Priced at $20.48 for two pieces we expected something great tasting.....very disappointing and definitely not worth the price.
Enjoyed the ham and cheese quiche, turkey pot pie, and apple pie. The tomatoes on the quiche were delicious and it was very silky. The salad that came with the family meal was excellent as well.
Loved the vegan chocolate pecan pie!
I love pie. All kinds of pie. This was a disappointing pie experience. The crust was soggy, the filling was mushy and sticky (it was pumpkin...) and lacked flavour. The piece of pie I got was really small, especially considering I paid $7.50 for it. Save your money, buy an organic pumpkin for $4.00, learn to make crust for about $1.00, and go on the internet and get a recipe. I will say that one of the staff members was really nice and attentive. The other one was apathetic and generally kind of stunned.
Best pie in town...maybe even the World!!! The crusts are crumbly and delicious ....Just like the crust your grandma would have made (if she made pies!). Our favourite is their Blackberry Apple Pie. They also make a killer Pumpkin pie at in the Fall. If you want to order one for Thanksgiving plan ahead as they sell out! If you can't do a whole pie you can order just a slice - to go or to eat in. It is not cheap...but, it is totally worth it!
